The Begginning Of It All

I know what you came here for, with all the heroic stories from the other herds. We are not like them. We have no heroes, never have been, never will be. This is not a place with happy endings, there is no fairytale here. Sure, we are living one. But this place isn't what its all cracked up to be. You see Pegasus around, mysterious animals, flowers. Even magical horses. It used to be glorious. When the Unicorns ruled the land. You see, all those stories took place during the Unicorns rule. Where are the Unicorns? Only the spirits know. They also know what hell is. Why do you think they leave? Why do you think they wouldn't mind going to the underworld? For one, the underworld isn't so bad, its actually pretty nice. I have family down there. In the sky too. Want to know what hell really is? Stay here awhile, a few days, even a few months.                
I am an old mare now, my coat wont shine, my mane is a mess. I aint got no birds to comb it back to its wavy self. But, I do have a story for you. Its a long one. Wouldn't mind staying awhile would you? Before I begin, I have to tell you the background of the horse herds. The magic, and hate inside them.
Spirit horses live on the peak of that there mountain. Ya see it? The crescent clouds shimmering as if it was a clear river. Spirit horses can fly. They aint got no wings, but their Unicorn inheritances sure helps. Some say a stallion lives there, but not just any stallion, its said he had a sister. She was the last unicorn. She was killed in a battle with... lets just call her the dark one for know, eh? They also say, the broken shards of her horn are pierced into the ear of the stallion. No one but him knows for sure. Then there is the Water herd. They live near the lake near the Earth herd. They aid each-other with farms. Some say, water horses can control Ice, but not all of them. Earth horses farm like the riders. Its strange. Oh, you don't know what a rider is? Its what you may call a human. But a few years back we learned they can ride us. Thats in the story. So it will have to wait. Any way, there is also the Fire, Earth, And Growth herd... And of course, the Air herd, hate lives inside them, you can decide where. This is just the beginning of the story of Cirodo. The mare of the world.
